This is cool: For under US$20, you can grab a bed in a Grupo Habita property—paying ten times less than the same hotel group offers to guests of its adjacent hotel. DOWNTOWN Beds, like its upmarket sister property, is situated within the historic renovated mansion of La Condesa de Mirabelle. And guests at Beds get to use many of the other’s super chic facilities—including the rooftop pool and bar.
The hostel’s dorm beds are in the old servants quarters of the palace—you can opt for shared accommodation, or a private with en suite bathroom. Complimentary continental breakfast is served in a dining area with exposed wood beams and old brick walls. There's also a buzzy bar, a courtyard patio and a game area—it’s a one stop shop for fun, culture, and relaxation, leaving you plenty of pesos to spend about town.

Location
Located on a cobblestone street beside the UNESCO World Heritage site of Centro Histórico, only a few blocks from the Zocalo, most everything you came to find in Mexico City is within walking distance of home base. And if you want to head further afield, know you’re just 6 minutes' walk from the Zócalo metro station, and the hostel also has bikes for rent. Cruise through these busy and colorful streets, taking in the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace, the Teotihuacan Pyramid, the street performers, stop off for lunch at the lovely restaurant El Cardenal, then maybe laze the day away in Almeda Central, Mexico's oldest municipal park.
