EAST, Miami is Swire Hotels’ first North American venture following acclaimed hotels in Hong Kong and Beijing. The impressive architecture here honors both Asian and local influence. Perched atop Brickell isle—above the buzz of shopping and finance below—the swish hotel represents the high life, literally as well as figuratively.
Gaze at the expansive views of Biscayne Bay from your floor to ceiling windows, and you may be tempted to spend your trip in your room. But 20,000 square feet of outdoor space boasts much to do. You’ll find lap, spa and cold plunge pools, and hot tubs. Grab a glass of rose or cup of Miami’s best coffee at Domain in the lobby. At Sugar, the rooftop bar, you can pair a cocktail with Asian-inspired tapas. Our favorite restaurant, Quinto La Huella, evolves from day to evening perfectly. If you can tear yourself away, know this location is much more convenient to Miami’s art and design districts than Miami Beach.

Start just around the corner from the hotel with a piña colada pudding at B Bistro before a browse through next door’s Brickell City Center and surrounding shops. When you feel like a break from the boutiques, our favorite dining options range from restrained omakase to exuberant Mediterranean, and once the clock strikes five (or four, or three) head to EAST’s rooftop happy hour and see where the well-dressed crowd takes you.
