Location
Located in the rainforests of Bijagua, Alajuela, just two miles from Tenorio Volcano National Park, and accessible only via four-wheel drive, Origins is blissfully far from civilization. Here you can go bird-watching, hiking, horseback riding, lagoon fishing, and volcano trekking. However long you stay won’t feel enough. The hiking trails are invigorating. If you are feeling adventurous, follow a guide along them at night to discover the nocturnal wildlife that call this area home. (Over 6% of the world’s biodiversity can be found in this tiny country.) To feel the wind in your hair, explore the countryside on horseback: the lodge has its own stables. If you like fishing, there are seven lagoons, and of course a trek to the volcano is a must.
